PECA's Mission

Program Evaluation, Compliance and Assessment (PECA) provides Student Affairs and Campus Diversity with resources, analyses, and coaching to:

  • Practice data-informed decision making.
  • Develop high-impact student interventions.
  • Measure continuous improvement aligned with divisional and institutional priorities.

In all that we do, we strive to achieve the following:

Maureen A. Guarcello, Ph.D.

Director
Maureen Guarcello has more than 20 years of higher education experience, with research and practice focused on the ways quantitative and qualitative data inform impactful student success interventions and higher education policy. Maureen holds a degree in Communication Studies and Marketing from California State University, Long Beach, and two degrees from the University of San Diego; an MA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management, and a PhD in Higher Education Leadership.

Dipthi Battapadi, M.A.

Assessment Analyst
Dipthi Battapadi has over 10 years of experience with survey research, data management, data processing, data visualization, and data reporting. She has been a part of the SDSU community since 2011, where she received her MA in Communication. Dipthi is also one of the Qualtrics Ambassadors on campus.
